- —Cement has a shelf life. Bags stored more than about three months, or anywhere damp, lose strength — order to the pour, not to the whole job.
- —Stack bags off the ground on timber and no more than eight high, or the bottom bags compact into unusable lumps.
- —Buy from one manufacturer for the whole structure where you can: strength classes vary between brands and mixing them makes results inconsistent.
